The rebuild begins...1992 Club Car DS upgrade

I like it, red and black is what I'm more than likely going to go with on my cart too. I've been thinking of making it sort of match my F-150 since they're the vehicles I use the most and both of the vehicles have a bed on them.

The camera flash tends to make the cart body appear a little 'orangish', but it is really a nice red color.

I still need to do some more work, but it's finally looking like a cart again!

The weather was nice today, in the mid '40s for February. I took some pics of the finished cart.

I cruised around the neighborhood a few blocks. The cart appears to be quite a bit faster. I won't know if the torque is better until I can find some hills to climb.

Well, for now, I think that I am done, until I need to replace the (6) 6V batteries. I will then upgrade to 48V, and purchase a bigger solenoid and charger from Scottyb.

I added 2 more LED SPST switches on the dash, for a total of 5. I am using 4 of them. 1 will be left for future use if I can find something that I want wired into 12V.

Here's the 4 switch configuration:

1 for the front dash LED lights.
1 for the radio.
1 for the under body work light (I like this best, it lights up the fuse box area and really helps to provide some lighting to an otherwise dark area).

I took a piece of the rubber diamond plate mat that I purchased, and made my own kick plate. I used some 3M 2 sided (outdoor version) tape. I think it looks pretty good. I am also going to use some of the rubber diamond plate material to make a pad for the rear speakers, which will be mounted behind and under the seatback area.

If you don't mind where did you find those LEDs by the kick plate? Thanks btw looks sharp!!!

Jakesnake27, thanks for the kind words. These carts are addicting. I just picked up my first gas cart, a 199 ds for the wife. Lots of work to do on that one...
