I am far from being an expert, but I will throw in my 2-cents.

It is my understanding that the controller on the RXV is very sensitive to battery pack voltage and loads. This has been discussed on some of the other threads as one of the issues with the Motor Brakes locking or intiating while driving.

I have seen it suggested that installing a voltage reducer on the battery pack or installing an additional battery for accessories instead of unbalancing the battery pack by pulling voltage from one battery is a solution to this problem.

I know that when I was installing a low voltage relay for my lights I forgot to flip the run/tow switch and when I initiated 12volts to the relay I could here the controller clicking and switching from forward to reverse. This is without the ignition turned on.

I would check the fuses if they are ok, look for a bare wire or short of some kind.

Question about the run/tow switch. When I flip mine I do not hear any sound/noise. Should I ? Do you guys hear anything when you flip that switch (like a solenoid click or sound)?

Thanks!

Alright....
Thanks for the wiring diagrams. Nice.

Tell me more about the connector under the cup holder......

I was thinking about buying the service manual but I didnt know of it was worth the money or not.

PinballDad - What all did you do to yours in an attempt to fix? Any accelerator sensors? My parts are due in next week so ill know soon.

I hear nothing when I flip the run tow switch.

If they dont fix it I am going to swap the ones i remove from the accelerator to the brake pedal just to eliminate that. Next im going to chase each wire according to the above diagram and check for continuity, shorts and bad connections.

I can tell you that the guy that I bought my cart from "cleans" them up and installs new light kits and a horn. The accessories were tied directly to one battery on the drivers side. I removed them on Wed morning and I havent noticed the problem again.

Ill post up long term results after the 2 accelerator sensors come in.

Hope it works!!

Asides from that, I love the cart.

Here are three versions on the control wiring to go along with the accessory wiring.
1. Before S/N 5001639,
2. Before Dec-2009
3. After Dec-2009

Where are you guys getting these color wiring diagrams from?

If it is the factory service manual, what all is in it?

Does it actually troubleshoot and things like that?

BTW - What is the difference in those three manuals?

I assume related to the dates you posted above but I couldnt figure out how to distinguish between them.

My SN is 5018694

Thanks for all your help!

First two are service manuals and the third one is a parts manual.

If you go back the the three control wiring diagrams I posted, you'll notice there are some differences based on date of manufacture and serial number.
Other than that, I'm not sure what the differences are.
