I think he's talking about the wiper arm brush lead. It's the only heavy wire in there. Ok, if the wire itself is not fraying, you can put some "liquid tape" on the portion that the screw rubbed on. Don't use tape! It will unravel and get caught in the contacts. + the brush wire has to remain flexible. Liquid tape is flexible. The screw is an adjustment for the brush contact so don't mess with it unless you're going to change the brush! I've had many V-Glides rub the insulation off on this screw, but since the screw is electrically isolated, it won't hurt anything unless the wire is being frayed. You can take a Dremel tool and smooth out the end of the screw so it's not so sharp.

I knew which wire he is talking about. I would like to see pics of it to see if it is so bad it has to be replaced
