I think the angle iron idea would work......but i would really re-think it because of the vibration your going to give to everything else on the cart. You may "rattle and shake" stuff apart that you really don't want to.

I tied rope around like chains and it worked pretty good,didnt scratch my purty wheels either. Now I need some skis on the front wheels, gonna make a set for the next storm.

I had an EZ-Go Workhorse, and it had more aggressive tires than my stock ones on my TXT. I had absolutely no problem getting around on snow and ice.

Yesterday, I had to get a friend to tow me up a steep hill in my stock tired TXT. I also couldn't make it up my driveway, even with a good running start, so I had to shovel.

I'll probably end up lifting and putting larger semi-off road tires on it. Larger tires are just so I can go faster, but my neighbors who had better tire treads had no problem in theirs. Day before yesterday, I had no problem with snow, but once the roads had been driven on and the roads were more ice than snow, I had trouble getting up steep hills.
