Taking the batteries home with you, and charging them during the off season is the best idea on this thread so far (if you dont trust any of your "friends").

Somebody needs to start a battery rental service for these snowbirds
 Some of these people live in an apartment where keeping 6 60 pound batteries is not simple LOL |

One final suggestion, can you visit the cart once a month with a portable generator to charge them? Take a book, you'll be there a while.
