Plum Quick Bandit + 500 AMP Controller OR Executioner w/ Stock Controller
I have an 08 Club Car Precedent. 12" Wheels with Low Profile Tires. Neighbor hood is flat and its only used for cruising around, usually with a pretty light load.
I would like to get the cart in the 28 mph range and am looking for advise on getting a Plum Quick Bandit + 500 AMP Controller + 4 Gauge Wires OR just going straight for the PQ Executioner. My understanding is that the Executioner does not require a new controller or 4 Gauge wires, so it is a seemingly a much more affordable route. Would appreciate your input. Thx! |

suggest you also look into upgrading brakes to disk....
I drove my 2005 club car at 24mph and stopping was not the greatest (stock motor and alltrax 500 amp controller set to limit at 400 amps) |

Skymast,
I think you've got this backwards. The Bandit is the motor that allows you to keep all stock components. The Executioner is more aggressive and requires upgrading your wires and controller. |

the point about upgrading the brakes is a great one..........these things arn,t meant to stop a cart going 25+ mph and is iffy at best..............you just don,t see anyone pointing it out....................................

**** good point about the brakes. I've got Jakes disk brakes on my list. Luckily, my OEM rear brakes and Saharas are stopping my cart fairly safe. I only go full speed when I'm on a flat highly visable surface.
Another point to make concerns fast lifted carts: That high center of gravity requires caution when cornering. Wheels with a high offset help considerbly. I use a 3" lift and I get all the clearance and looks I need, with a reduced roll-over risk. Happy carting BTW: I just put in new Trojans I'll have to re-GPS my top speed, as it feels much faster |

skymast, you have a point But, tahoedawgz71 pretty much answered your question, we just discussed the safety issues with going fast so others that read your thread will understand the consequences of going that fast on a golf cart.
The bandit will run with stock everything. If you add a bigger controller get bigger wires. 4 gage is good, 2 gage is better. As far as the Executioner, check the Plum Quick website, or maybe someone else will chime in. I have a commander with stock controller/wires, it runs great. (28mph). I'm getting a DCX500IQ, HP soleinoid and 2 gage wires. My torque should more than double and my top speed should be about the same, maybe a tad faster. Hope this helps |

no, its not defocused. these are things you have to keep in mind. if you want a true opinion on the motor controller setup, you need to contact robbie at plum quick. robbie we go over all your needs and wants. we all have plenty of experince with high speed carts. going fast is very easy, but stopping these things is a chore.
