Default (8) 6 volt batteries wired in series

When adding 2 6 volt batteries to my ezgo making it 48 volt how do I determine which 2 batteries are at the end of the series to charge with the 12 v charger?

hodgey, Gornoman wired his Z06 Ezgo at 48v to use his 36v charger and a 12v charger for the other two batts and so did I. Check out these two threads and if you dont find your answer let us know.

Consider finding a 48 volt charger IMO you will love the simplicity and you can sell your old charger to recoupe most of the costs.......Pm me for a price on a Lester.

My intention is to purchase a 48v charger, but I should have my conversion done today so I wanted to use the 36V powerwise I have with a 12v charger until I get a 48v. I am simply unsure of which battery is first in series and which is last so I can use the 12v on the last 2 batteries.
Any suggestions on 48V chargers I.E portable vs onboard would also be appreciated. I try reading through alot of the olf topics, but find t difficult to find answers to my questions so I apologize in advance for not being able to locate previous discussions on these issues. Thanks
