How do i get to my reverse buzzer?
I have a 2002 PDS, and i would like to muffle the buzzer. I have read all the posts on this, but i can't find anything on actually how you get to it. Do i have to remove the whole dash?

remove the two plastic rivets that secure the key panel. remove the panel and you can reach through and gain access to the buzzer. I just pulled one of the connectors loose as I use my cart for hunting. that will eliminate the diagnostic and overheat warnings though. you can do a number of things to muffle them.

I was wondering how to get to that thing too. I want it just a little quieter.

I put a piece of duct tape over my buzzer. I can still hear if in the cart but you cannot hear from 10 feet away.

If you have small arms/hands you can reach up from the bottom of the front end and feel around for the buzzer. You can unplug one of the connections from it to silence it. Have done it on several Ez Go carts in the area.

On my '92 Marathon I disconnected the wire going to it at the microswitch on the F-R control.

Re: How do i get to my reverse buzzer?
I got in trouble the last time I posted on reverse buzzers. It's a new year so I promise. This one will be OK.
Don't forget about a couple of things. 1. It's your cart and your responsibility. 2. Disabling the buzzer on PDS carts also disables diagnostic output from the stock PDS controller. 3. It's a safety thing. Muzzling it is a bit better IMO. 4. See #1-#3 above. Not telling you what to do just informing. Please no flaming. OK? |

Re: How do i get to my reverse buzzer?
I've got a PDS also...apparently theres a hole in the buzzer, so I got my wife to reach up from underneath and stick one of those squishy foam earplugs in the hole...perfect. It still buzzes in reverse just not too loud.
