1983 ezgo gas rear end rattle at certain speeds

ok hopefully one of those videos uploaded... I am getting a rattle from the back end of the cart when i am driving it. It only does it part of the time but you hear it the most around 40 seconds into the video. Are my clutches worn out?

I think I would jack the rear wheels off the ground and check it while running that away, hard to tell from video. Good Luck

I don't claim to be as sharp as some on this forum but I had a high speed rattle coming from the rear end of my cart ('87) and I found it to be the govenor located on the rear axle under the driver side. I had it disconnected and without tension the thing made an annoying vibration sound. I can't tell from your video but it might be worth looking at if your govenor is disconnected

Might be muffler or exhaust loose too?

That's exactly what it was popatop... Input it on jack stands tonight and pulled the cover off that reveals the back of the clutches and the muffler and there was a light gauge band around the muffler that looked like it was supposed to act a a rub guard between the exhaust clamp (gone) and the muffler... That band if what was rattling. I put a big heavy hose clamp around It to hold it down to the frame and problem solved... Thanks guys... Now I can start working on my custom suspension.
