Default Gas golf cart pros & cons

Hey y’all, currently have a club car da 48 volt. Wanting to look into a gas model instead. What’s good about gas besides not having to charge lol
Top speed with lift?
Does it come with regen brake?
About how many miles to a tank?

Which is better? Ford or Chevy? There are guys that like electric and those that like gas, they both have advantages and disadvantages. I think it's just a personal preference for how you use it.

Gas carts Do have the convenience of no battery maintenance or recharging. They have the disadvantage of cold starts and the high cost of gasoline.
Both have their advantages. Some people who struggle to maintain a battery pack find gas carts a welcome alternative. I like the advantage of instant on and go in the electric cart.

I prefer gas for the main reason that I mainly use it in areas that do not have a place available to recharge batteries. I can just pour some gas in the tank and keep going. My gas cart starts good in cold weather, I can usually crank it up and go pretty quick. Not sure about the regen brake question - That is used in electric vehicles to aid in keeping the batteries up, it wouldn't have a place on a gas cart.

This is just my opinion bit I think that the "gas or electric" question is predicated almost entirely on how the cart is going to be used. I have 8 carts, 4 of which are gas and the other 4 are electric. Each have their pros and cons.

If you are going to use the cart a lot, then gas might be better as you don't have to charge it. If you are going to just use a cart to putt around here and there then an electric one makes sense as they require no gas and a lot less maintenance.

In my household, the younger folks (teens and such) like the gas because they cruise the heck out of them for hours and hours on end. Us older folks like the sparkys as they are quieter and generally offer a smoother and more comfortable ride.

No regenerative braking, but some minor engine braking - till the engine spins down enough to release the belt from the drive clutch. In my area the carts are about 90% gas, just because of the driving distance. Lead acid battery carts will commonly need recharged in 15 to 20 miles. Gas carts generally have around a 5 gallon tank providing well over 100 miles of driving distance on a tank.

Electric should be divided into two categories: FLA and Lithium, they perform totally different. I can get around 40-50 miles per charge on my lithium electric.

My pretty built up VC 460 gets about 40 miles to the gallon and the stock clone got about 60 miles to a gallon. I never really checked mileage with the stock yamaha engine BUT I would guess it did better than that. With 5 gallons you should be able to go 200 miles plus.
