G19 overhaul without performance gain
New member, poster, and first time owner. I have been reading posts for a couple months this forum is very informative. Hope you can help. I purchased a G19 in December that had a jakes lift, 22" tires and backseat with nice paint job with everything else stock. The cart would run 14mph. I saw rust in the batt well and decided to strip the cart down and repaint the frame. Next was the body, then a new backseat. With what turns out was a larger project than I had planned I decided to get a bandit upgrade from plum quick. With the motor back and reinstalled I had problems with "tripping" the controller and diagnosed it to the need for a new controller. I purchased a alltrax dcx500 and installed it yesterday. Yet when complete I only saw 16 mph with a slight increase in torque. I have not messed with the programming yet but figured out of the box I should be seeing more speed. I have 2 gauge wires. 400 amp cont solenoid. Any thoughts on performance. Should I see more? Do I need to turn up the controller from Stock? Happy the cart is running just disappointed with 2 mph gain. Your input is greatly appreciated

Re: G19 overhaul without performance gain
Since its a G19, it has the correct 8v batteries (48v) in it right? I have seen "messed with" G19s come in with 36v batteries in them.

Re: G19 overhaul without performance gain
No it's 48 v with meter showing 52-53 volts. Shouldn,t I see more speed with this setup?

Re: G19 overhaul without performance gain
What motor did you get? What did they say to expect for speed?

Re: G19 overhaul without performance gain
It was a bandit upgrade from my existing motor. Plum quick said to expect 20-25 mph

Re: G19 overhaul without performance gain
Does the led indicator on the controller turn orange when at full throttle?
