Thanks. There is a dealer close to me , but I refuse to set foot on their property because of the screwing they did to a friend of mine ...... The next closest dealer is almost a 100 miles away . Can it be got online?

I cant get a part number for the chip. The only number i have just leads me to a "unprogrammed" 8 bit microprocessor, not one with yamahas software. I will look some more.

Yep, by "i'll look some more", i meant im gonna go dig up the service bulletin, instead of working off my memory. You already found the bulletin, good detective work. But still, no dice.

Buying an unprogrammed one will do you no good. You will not be able to get the program and you probably don't have the programmer anyway.

Many of these processors are designed so that you can't pull the program off of them.
