Newbie here, new rear springs.
Hi, newbie here, just purchased my first cart. 2000 EZGO txt 36v. Everything is stock except a rear seat was added. My rear springs are shot. I don't want it to ride like a tank. I was wondering which springs are best for a decent ride? I've heard the Hd 4 springs ride really rough. So, HD 2 spring? medium springs? I plan on reworking the entire cart. Lift kit, shocks, light kit, battery cables and wheels/tires for starters. I will be using the cart for cruising the campground and for hunting. Thanks in advance!!

Go with a three spring stock. I bought a HD set and took them back off very hard ride.

If you are going to upgrade most of suspension look at a mid rise kit. Not sure what spring it comes with but has front and rear springs and with rear shocks. If u combine it with other lift kits be prepared to lengthen your steering shaft.
I would consider what type of load that you will have majority of the time and try to match springs to that load. |

I plan on using it for hunting and cruising the campground. Prob a couple people on the back. I just don't want a real stiff ride when no one is on the back. I was wondering about the 3 spring stock ones. I sure don't want to get crazy enough that I have to lengthen my steering shaft.

This is post #6. I have a series with eight 6 volt batteries and a rear seat. I bought a set of HD springs from shopezgo.com, and don't feel like the ride is too rough. I used to bottom out with passengers.

I can haz math? If ride quality with no load is #1 priority, the stock springs are about it. Might ride lousy with 4 people on it, its a trade-off. You are adding about 1/3 more total weight by adding 2 more people (cart weighs about 900lb).
