2005 IQ club car lots of problems!
I have a 2005 48 club car IQ got it 3 months ago. Wouldn't get over 9 mph stayed around 8 mph. I can go 20 to 40 yards easing around an it loses all power let off the pedal an it takes off again Repeats this over an over. If I run it up hill or wide open for about 200 yards it slows down to a stop. I can turn it off for 2 or 3 min an it will take off fine. I hade new battery's put in yesterday an didn't help. I can't find a part number on the (mcor). I don't know if it's the speed sencor or the (mcor).

Re: 2005 IQ club car lots of problems!
You can do a test to see if it is the speed sensor:
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...nsor-test.html Just from your description it sounds more like the speed sensor. I just replaced both the MCOR and the speed sensor on mine. The speed sensor being bad made the cart go really slow. The MCOR being bad made it really herky jerky. |

It's a 2005 Club Car DS IQ with an ADC motor.
The buzzer is mounted on the back of the center dash panel directly below the key switch. |

Re: 2005 IQ club car lots of problems!
I changed the speed sensor this fixed everything except after ridding slow in the woods around 5mph. The cart slows to a stop an after a min sitting there it will take off. It will run for 100 to 200 yards an do the same thing unless it's running wide open. I believe something is over heating.

Re: 2005 IQ club car lots of problems!
This is a safety feature of the controller known as "Thermal Cutback"
When the controller gets to 80 degrees Celsius, it reduces power until the controller cools off. Usually it happens when towing or driving slowly for a long period of time. |
