03 DS IQ will not charge

First post here but have lurked and learned for a couple of years

My 03 DS IQ will not charge It will still drive fine.

this is what I have done so far after researching here

checked fuse in yellow container being charging port--- its good

followed directions in stickies to reset the OBC - no change

bought kit recommended by Dave Hicks off of Ebay to replace parts in charger
Included in the Kit are:
1 - Charger Relay
1 - Diode/Rectifier (50 AMP HEAVY DUTY)
1 - Circuit Breaker
1 - Packet of Thermal Paste

Tried to charge nothing

Jumped 2 wired in charger that come from obc. tried again and it worked

brought pack back up to 60 volt. all batteries read about the same 10v

removed jumper fron charger- plugged it in again- still nothing

yellow battery light comes on at odd times even when cart is off

I assume obc is bad but I can't find it.
Is it under bag well?
Do I need to take body off to get to it

If OBC if bad would I be better off getting a DPI charger and disconnecting the OBC

Ok thanks now I know where it is
I thought the wire went there. Body has to come off.

do I have to completely remove after disconnecting all wires or
just cut the one grey wire going back to the charger

I saw Scotty B has the DPI charger for sale.
I just have to get the one made for no OBC

The purple label is it

you can remove the motor cover and get to the OBC
if you get the DPI charger from ScottyB it will come with full instructions
but basically you do not remove the OBC , the DPI charger controls the amount of charge to your batteries

Thank you both for replying. Now I know where it is and how to get at it
I have read from posts and websites when looking at DPI chargers that the OBC has to be disabled and I guess I don't exactly know what that means.

What I have also found is that the IQ carts can be a real problem with electronics. One thread had Scotty B ready to burn it.
I will go with the DPI from Scotty will call him tomorrow to get things moving

When I get this cart working I want to change my 90 year old Moms DS cart from 36 volt to 48 volt and know Scotty has a kit do do that also. I'll need another dpi charger for her also

lol ... your gonna make your mom a happy camper ... but well worth the cost

Yes that jumper and the rebuild kit helped me eliminate the charger as a problem. I just have to check voltage and manually shut off charger or I'll cook the batteries. I have a pic I found that shows where to put jumper in charger.

My moms cart needs batteries 36v and something went wrong and it stopped running while they still had some life in them.
So I thought now is the time to gut it and over power the 36v motor with 48 volts.
Will start a new thread when I start on it

Does the pic you show jumping in cart do the exact same thing but also disables the OBC?
