testing a solenoid

found a solenoid at a local golf cart store. Now I think that I need to test the micro switch. Is there several switches on the 87 club car?
Also crash test dummy I have 1 orange wire that goes nowhere. Do you have a color coded picture of the wiring on a 87 club car.
The cart runs ok but its very slow. like its missing a top end gear.
All the batteries are charged up and good, about 6 months old.

these are factory colors
orange wire is reverse buzzer
micro switches are in the speed box (drivers side, front of battery area ) , silver with red ends , there are 5 inside

Thanks again crash test dummy, I took the speed control apart to test the micro switch, and I found the one with the red wire not working, but the big find was the black wire fell off the switch. put the wire back on and the cart ran pretty good even up a small incline. where last week my wife ask if she should get out and push.
I think that I will order a new set and replace all of the micro switches. because I need the one with the red wire anyway.
The cart is running good I cleaned the slide but didnt mess with the adjustment.
Now the cart wants to move a very little bit when you put it in gear.
Is it possible that now things are working a lot better one of the solenoids could stick on.
