Default Yamaha G22 batteries 6v or 12v?

Ok, new here and new to golf carts in general. I've had a 36 volt Yamaha G16 for a while.

I just bought a 07 G22 48 volt. It has no batteries. Main question I have right now is, which is better: 8 6 volt batteries or 4 12 volt batteries? Or am I limited to only one size with this cart for some reason?

Your cart uses 6x 8v batteries. 8x 6v batteries won't fit & 12v sucks (and they won't drop into your tray either). Just go with the T-875 batteries it was designed for.

I agree - go with 6 x 8V!
