Default 36v charger puts out 48v

New guy here, I have a Yamaha G1 and I use an old lester charger with no problems. I just picked up a second charger yesterday and it is a 36volt lester also, but made for a Cushman I believe. Well, it puts out 48-49v dc instead 36-39v. I haven't found a wiring diagram for this charger yet and would like to fix it and use it.

Any quick fixes or ideas?

Charger is a Lester equip mfg out of LA, model number 36s2t12.

Yep, and 48v chargers put out about 61v. No problem, carry on.

I thought the same but when I measured voltage from my other charger it ran at about 38 so I was curious.
also the timer switch doesn't "click" like my old one. I'm not sure if it actually moves or not, I wouldn't leave it charging overnight anyway, just while I'm at my workshop restoring pinball machines!!!
thanks CGtech, I will be restoring the cart in the next couple months. I picked it up last year for $150 off of craigslist. Runs great.
Anyone know if there is a set of Seat covers that fit this model perfectly?
Thanks Again

The one that is only doing 38v is the one not working correctly.

Don't worry about the open circuit voltage. Look at the charge current and battery voltage over the charge cycle.

Thanks guys. I ordered a connector for it (just wire leads now) will get it cleaned up and start using it. Now I will check out the other one and figure out why it's not working up to standard. It's got a pretty loud hum. A lot louder than the one I just got.
