What difference does it make where you got your last one? (And why did it fail like that?)

I think the cat and mouse game has everything to do with not wanting to be responsible for another motor. Obviously your set up was wrong for whatever you do or did to the cart. That leaves the responsibility in either your hands, the dealers hands, or the manufacturers hands ....

How many inches tall are the tires on the cart?
And how and where (honestly) do you use the cart.

When I hooked up everything don sent me we got on team viwer and he programed the cart to his likeings. I camp with the golf cart Its moslty slow driving with a few golf cart races, and thats 100% throttle for only like 200' Some campgrounds have a few small hills, the biggest hill is the one to go into my toy hauler.

The cart has 22" tires

Slow going with big tires creates the highest amperage draw, like when you first start out - the draw is high, but when you go slow with big tires and especially with 4 passengers or up hill you never get momentum on your side and amperage draw remains high.... this is when you get the most unwanted heat. Your set up may have been tuned just right for sailing down the road.

Well - I can't speak for either party. A cart has to be built for it's toughest job. If the cart is built for speed 364 days a yr. and pulls a float in the Christmas parade... it will have a meltdown in the parade. It can be tough finding a compromise between speed and torque. And those controllers with field map weakening switches.... they allow the user to select the wrong setting for a given activity.
