What reason on earth would cause someone to want to convert from solid state to resistor coils?
I would walk past 5 resistor coil G2s for a solid state G9.

Yea
lots of battery power goes out in heat on the resistor carts

But a good place to cook a hot dog wrapped in tin foil :)

But they are cool looking,
Have Nostalgia,
old school, heavy duty, pretty reliable too

Well, since G9 is 98% identical to G2, you will get to keep the nostalgia. I have repaired many more wipers on G2 than anything on G9, so the HD part doesn't ring for me. I can count the number of failed G9 controllers I have seen on only a couple of fingers. Yep, a good place to cook hotdogs.
