I also highly recommend the plug and play reducer. I just plugged the blue and black/yellow (think that's right) to the leads that were already coming out of the battery pack. I plugged the 9-pin plug into the plug and play reducer wiring. The wiring that goes to your light switch and horn, etc. (if you have them) plugs into the other side.

FYI, on at least the plug and play voltage reducer. There is a trigger circuit to not allow it to power on unless the key is on. In the existing harness on under the dash on the right side you will see a grey wire with a bullet connector (it may be the female side can't remember). The bucket harness wiring has the other end of that connector. It is usually hidden in the plaster wire loom right behind the 9pin connector that is routed up to the dash. I mention it because it's easy to miss,

anyone know of a way to get constant 12V power from this reducer to maintain radio memory>? When I turn my key off, I loose my radio memory. Would be nice to have it wired to maintain it. thanks

Any ideas? I dont want to fry the light kit.

I am new to all this... I'm pretty sure I followed the directions in the kit.
I also have a 2014 would like to add a light kit but unable to find the exact kit you used by part number. Happen to have a link?

Check the voltage when the lights are turned on. They sometimes need to see a load to reduce the voltage.
