If you hit this condition for anything more than a few seconds, go back. Creeping ups the amperage a LOT and with the upgraded parts you added, your poor motor, controller, solenoid, cables, FNR will try and deliver everything the poor battery pack can deliver. This can result in damage to the FNR, and any other weak links.

FNR? Forward reverse switch? Is that a part that is usually upgraded? The cart comes from the factory with 4ga wires to the solenoid and controller so that should help a little.

Sorry for your loss. Its hard to understand in 2019 how we still lose lives to cancer.

DON'T drive a long time at 2 MPH while troubleshooting. It ain't good. Charge batteries every time you use them, and at a minimum, reinitiate a charge monthly (I did it weekly 'til I got my float mode charger).

F&R, FNR, F/R are three ways to abbreviate the forward, neutral, reverse switch. On its search engine, Shopezgo.com - who IS EZ-GO - returns more hits with FNR than the other two.

"Is that a part that is usually upgraded?" YES, and in a series circuit, all parts should be capable of carrying 500+ amps, from the batteries, controller, FNR, solenoid, motor, and every cable in the circuit.

"The cart comes from the factory with 4ga wires to the solenoid and controller so that should help a little." Not sure what that helps? A series circuit - not drive type - only recognizes the weakest link in the chain. I don't remember mentioning cable size, but mine - much older - came with all 6 AWG.

Don't get me started on today's medical system. He called the Dr. when her abdominal stitches opened up and her intestines spilled out. Doc says, uh, yeah, happens, just stuff 'em back and call me in the morning. No sh!t.
