Default Battery Opinions Needed 2016 48v CC Prec

Looks like the PD+ finally kicked the bucket (thanks for the heads up from a few months ago on another thread) and now it's battery time.

I've read so many threads, but for my personal piece of mind it's down to Crown or Trojan, just need to know what model to get.

I use the cart weekly at the beach (flat, asphalt only) and can travel up to 10-15miles a day. Cart is currently 6x 8v batteries and I don't want to change that. It is running 22" tires, alltrax 400, and most of the time has 3 passengers on board.

What would you do? I am leaning towards Crown solely for the customer service reputation, but having some difficulty finding a dealer. Most sell Trojan

If I were buying a set of lead acid batteries today, I would buy the Crown CR-190.

I'm having a hard time finding a dealer in Central Florida for Crown. Best price so far is $725 for six T875s... Not bad I think?

Try contacting David at Revolution Golf Cars (site sponsor). He's a dealer of Crown batteries. There may be a Crown distributor in your area he can work a deal through. Worth a call.

Is it wrong to say, buy the highest amp hour batteries you can afford, Crown or Trojan.

I would like to go Li but I don't have the time to research all that and figure it out.. realistically how difficult is is to do? I already have the alltrax 400 and hi speed motor from Dave..

I think for what I'm doing with the cart the T875s will work well enough.

I will shoot Dave an email too, but I'm going to bet shipping will cancel any savings vs buying local lol these suckers are heavy!

I'd love to help you but we don't ship batteries. If you can get the price you mentioned for Trojan T-875s, I'd go that route. That's a good deal.

Nothing wrong with either one, but if Trojans are more easily available in your area, that's the route to go. If you have any issue with a battery failing under warranty you won't have to go far to get a replacement.
