Default 2015 RXV purchase

I am looking to purchase a 2015 RXV. What should I look for as red flags? All 15’s will be a Curtis, correct? Is the OEM charger ok, or junk? The charger looks like a giant heat sink.

Thanks all.

That OEM Charger is fine........until it craps the bed.

This is a fleet cart. Other than no lights, is there anything else I should be concerned about.

I would check age and condition of batteries.
Batteries are the life blood and most expensive concern when buying a used cart
If batteries more then 4 years old unless perfectly cared for assume you’ll need to replace them. Trojan and US batterie are quality brands if you plan to replace so figure that expense into purchase price.
Also look around at wireing on cart. Can be a clue if it’s been tampered with.
Try to find out as much history as possible on cart.
Some things I looked for when buying used cart.

Also research txt versus rxv carts. Not trying to sway you either way, just be aware of the difference between the two if maint. Or trouble shooting problems arise down the line.

Thanks for the info. Really want the efficiency of the AC drive with the hills we have. The batteries are original, so they will need to be replaced. This was a fleet cart for two years, then to the current owner for two years where it was used as a neighborhood cart. I will need to put a light kit on it, a voltage reducer, wheels, tires, batteries, and reprogram the controller. All else looks to be in good working order. The proposed purchase price is $2700. So $50 for a reducer, $100 for lights, $300 for a seat, $1100 for batteries, $400 for wheels and tires, $50 for new battery cables, and controller upgrade. That puts me around $4800 for a nicely equipped and refreshed RXV.

Since you have to do batteries anyway, I suggest converting to 6x8v (170AH minimum). All else being equal they will give longer range per charge and longer service life. Also a simplified arrangement in the bay with easier access for water service IMO.

I have a 2015 RXV that I bought a couple years ago with nothing on it for $2700 and needed batteries but used ones that came with it for a few months. I converted to 6 batteries, added lights, rear seat, battery gauge, tires and wheels and mirror.

I found a newer cart that has a Genesis rear seat, 14” wheels/20” tires, 8/2019 Trojan batteries, USB charger, suite seats and an LED light kit for 5k.
