1997 CLub Car DS electric 48v
I was given a 97 CC 48v. Its was running when the guy parked it. I have slow chardged each individual battery but CC charger would not kick on. Finally got batteries to charge using a friends micro processor charger after bypassing OBC. Lights and horn work but NEW solenoid i installed still wont engage. Batteries are fully charged and have proper voltage at all the right places. Been messing with it for a week and heard you could connect wire from last negative to small yellow wire on solenoid and it will move. Is this a correct suggestion? kids want to ride it bad lol. I know OBC is probabl not good or needs to be reset but not sure how to do that since i have no TOW/RUN switch either.

Re: 1997 CLub Car DS electric 48v
On a Series cart the Negative Permissive is supplied to the solenoid by the OBC. With the cart jacked up for safety, the key On, FNR in Fwd, and Go Pedal depressed, you should read 48v between the two (2) small posts of the solenoid. If you are not, place the Red probe on the Main Pack Positive and the Black probe on the small yellow wire at the solenoid's small post. If you have it, then you have probably lost a Positive Permissive. If you do not have 48v (or pack voltage), then run a jumper wire from the Main Pack Negative to the same post or cut the Yellow wire at the failed OBC and terminate it on B- at the controller.

Yeah just tried the jumper idea i posted earlier......think i burned up the forward microswitch. Oops. It was free so new microswitches on the way and jumper wire trashed. Will try that tommorow. Thanks
