If it is 36 V it is probably resistor Drive. The 48 V system is superior to those in a lot of ways.

From what I have read on this form the 48V is much better overall. I think I will pass the one up. Just never ran up on a 2002 that was 36V. All I have seen were 48V either Series or Sepex drive.

How much do they want for it? If it's not terribly expensive it can be upgraded and be ready to switch over to 48v when the batteries die.
If they're already dead, then it's a perfect platform for a conversion project.

Ha, Fairtax
Yes that is a good point. Could always go that route. In the pictures it looks nice and clean, body an seats in good shape. He is asking $1,450 says batteries are good.

The cart is in NC just hard to deiced whether to make the trip.

I had a coworker ask me a few months ago for troubleshooting advice on his golf cart.

I asked him to first confirm the cart voltage and battery voltage before digging into the wiring.

Sure enough... he had a 48v cart with 36v worth of batteries in it.

That was an easy fix.

I imagine this mistake is fairly common and a good way to find a good deal on a cart.

That said... 48v is definitely the way to go.

Yes I agree Dragracer. 48V is the way to go. I thought maybe that what was going on with this cart. I should have ask him for the serial #. They are a lot of carts up for sale alter setting all winter one will come along.
