Storage for 5 Months
Have a 09 ex go txt, 36 v. Leaving back to Michigan next week. Is it best to just put in tow mode, disconnect the pos and negative main cables or should I disconnect each battery from each other also?
Thanks |

Re: Storage for 5 Months
Can you find someone to charge it for you every three to four weeks?

Re: Storage for 5 Months
If i had to do this on a regular basis I would
A. find somebody to charge it every 4 weeks B. sell the batteries at the end of the season and buy new each year. A malfunctioning storage plan for 5 months is long enough to seriously compromise or kill a battery pack. |

Another option is one of those DPI chargers that kicks on when the batteries drop below a certain voltage. |

Re: Storage for 5 Months
Thanks for the info. Looks like I will get one of the full timers plug it in every 3 weeks or so. Has a analog volt meter so that should help let them know when it's getting low.
Thanks again |

I'd check that out before putting a timer on the AC power outlet. |

Re: Storage for 5 Months
I bought a Lester2 charger and hooked it up directly. It's supposed to come on automatically when the batteries get low and is supposed to automatically start a charge cycle after a power outage. Does that sound right?
