Default Club Car GE Speed sensor came apart? snap together, or replace?

Hello All!

Been browsing the forum for a while, but anyways...

I was replacing my speed magnet on my Club Car DS GE, and when pulling the speed sensor out, the sensor came apart. so the circular part that attaches to the motor, and the wire part (looks like it has 8-10 little "nubs" and snaps into the circular part) were separated.

Do i need to buy a whole new sensor? I tried putting it back together, but my cart is stuck in limp mode.

Any advice is appreciated. I would love if someone has a little "Trick" to getting it back together. I am assuming i am not the only one to do this? but maybe....

Not sure that you can. It has probably lots its calibration or alignment for picking up the signals from the poles. I have never had that happen before...

I bought a new one, but it will not be here until monday. I hate not having the cart on back-to-back weekends. I cant imagine living in my beach community without one anymore lol. Thanks though.
