2013 Precedent electrical challenge
Ok, so I screwed up!
Installed LED side view mirror with signals. When plugged in, the headlight stayed on even when switched off. Put cart in Tow, but forgot to disconnect power, I am on the low voltage side right.... so I should be good!? Wrong! Now I have an issue; the cart wont start. Found and checked (2) 15 amp fuses, checked the wires. I dont see any disconnected wires, batteries have juice, power harness back in place correctly. Replaced ignition switch. Can now hear a "click" when key is on & pedal is depressed; but still the cart will not engage and move. Obviously something is "Blown or tripped" just not sure what or where. |

Re: 2013 Precedent electrical challenge
Im going to ask a silly question but did you make sure that the F/R switch is not in the middle/neutral position?
My cart did this same thing. I would hit the pedal and hear the click but it wouldn't move. Turns out our son hit the pedal with his foot and put it in the neutral position. Wayne |

Re: 2013 Precedent electrical challenge
Don't know what your fuses go to and you stated that you checked them..Just making sure that you checked the one by the controller...You have to remove the panel to check it..

Re: 2013 Precedent electrical challenge
Have not checked or pulled the controller. Thanks for the recommendation. the 2 15 amp fuses found/check are between my batteries and a voltage reducer. will hopefully get to the controller tomorrow. again thanks for the assist. will let you know what i find.

Re: 2013 Precedent electrical challenge
That is a 15a blade fuse and is the one that blows when things go wrong...

Re: 2013 Precedent electrical challenge
You are correct..there was a 15 amp fuse under the Controller cover. Tomorrow we work on lights.
THANK YOU to all who made recommendations and supplied advise. I truly appreciate the assistance. |
