Arrow Change Alltrax SR voltage from 48 to 36

I ordered the sr48400 for my 36v cart and the info on the left says it’s programmed for a 48v. Does this make a difference? How do I change it??

Alltrax is closed thru the holiday of course so I figured y’all would give a faster answer.

Thanks

Might not have to do anything. I know when I went from 36 to 48v it automatically picked it up and I didn’t have to make any changes in toolkit.

I just found another thread about a 36v ezgo and his screen shot said 48v so maybe you’re right. I’m only getting 6mph and can’t make it up the driveway so I was thinking the controller thinks it’s underpowered. But maybe that’s not right and I just needed to program it properly. 🤷🏼*♂️ I’ll be calling alltrax.

Post a screen shot of your controller settings. You may have something set wrong. You should only have to change the overvoltage and undervoltage. To about 48 and 28 volts.

Just move the under voltage setting down to about 28v like Walters said and it should do fine. The overall operating voltage is usually from 24v up to about 62v, anywhere in between it will work the same.

Ok here’s the picture. I test ran it BEFORE programming and I did change the under/over voltage as recommended. My question now it:

Max motor amps: should be the amp rating on the motor? I don’t want this controller pulling more than the motor can handle. This is 155a as written on the motor.

Throttle rate: I turned it up a bit. Bad idea?

Peak amp mode: on or off?

Ok so it goes now!!! All is good going forward. Up to 23mph which is right where it was before conversion. I turned down the throttle rate. Woah. But I still don’t have reverse!

I followed a wire diagram from Dave with revolution and I’ve got an email to him about it. The limit switch on the F&R goes to the pot box and the small terminal on the solenoid. Sounds right? There’s no wire plugging into the controllers reverse slot. I feel like there should be.

Lol thanks guys!

The only reason for a wire on the reverse pin is if you want reverse to be half speed.
The controller doesn’t do anything different for reverse, reverse switching is all done by the FnR switch. If you have no reverse first make sure al cables are connected to the FnR properly and that it is correctly adjusted if there is a tension adjustment. Also make sure All terminal stud nuts are tight even if they don’t have cables on them.

Double checked and used the monitor tab in forward and reverse. All is the same but no movement in reverse. Everything is tight and correct to my diagram. Think the controller is bad? Here’s my diagram.

Hopefully someone else will chime in but don’t you need the bus bar connecting the two bottom posts on the F&R switch? I’ll try and find the pic.
