Default 1990 DS moves even when key switch is off

Ok... I'm new to golf carts and having a moment with the one that we just picked up. This one will move no matter what position the key is in. I have checked voltage to and from the key switch and the switch shows to be working. Have also checked voltages at the solenoid and it also shows to be working and not stuck. When looking through the schematics, I found the one that has the black and green wires coming out of the speed selector micro switch. My micro switch on the speed selector has red and green like the color schematic but my key switch and speed selector micro switch are opposite polarity from what that schematic shows. Black and white schematic shows that red on key switch should be + and micro switch -. Color schematic shows key switch - and micro switch +. So..... is that the problem or is there something else going on that I'm over looking ??

If the main solenoid is welded closed then yes the cart will run with the key off.

I agree... and I am headed back out to double check everything. My main question is which schematic is right since they both show the key switch and the speed selector micro switch hooking up to the batteries differently ???

No right or wrong way, just different ways from different years and then of course, there is always the way the PO did it

So true !! I took the solenoid out ant sure enough it was stuck. Gave it a couple of love taps with a hammer and it clicked. Put it back in the way that it was and it works the right way with the key now. Looks like I need to get a main solenoid coming to me. Thanks for the help !!!
