Going from 36v to 48v
I’m trying to convert my 87 club car from 36v to 48v. It is a clean slate cart no wires.
If I understand correctly all I would need is a 48v silinoid and a 48v controller it is a series car so the motor can be 36 or 48 just needing some help on how to convert it thanks |

Brandon,
Under "Site Sponsors" check out Carts Unlimited aka Scottyb here on the forum, he likely has a kit with instructions on how to do this. Mike |

Plus 2 more 6 volt batteries or 6 new 8 volt batteries and likely new #2 battery cables since the post arrangement is different between 6 volt and 8 volt.

Probably a new FnR too.
If you think you might go whole hog and do a motor also…. Then you can also look at a sepex or ac conversion |

You need to talk (email) to ScottyB at cartsunlimited.net , he has the conversion kit you need with all the thinking and engineering done. Save time and money, kind of.
