What motors are compatible with my 04 DS 48V?

My motor is shot and I’m looking for a used replacement. Can I take one out of carts other than a DS? Mine has a tow/run switch, 4 wires, and a small plug. I think this means it’s an IQ regen motor, but does that mean I can find one out of a precedent?

Any club car IQ motor will work.

May be a cheaper and better upgrade option to send your shot motor to plum quick and have it rebuilt. Think they charge under 300 bucks for the bandit upgrade. It’s as good as a new motor when you get it back.

On offer up someone has a 2022 club car motor, 48v. Any chance that’s an IQ motor?

Good chance it will fit but is your controller controller programmed for a 2022 motor? Individual motors have individual field maps, not even all CC regen motors use the same map. So who knows - I'd stay away from anything too new.

Place a wanted ad here. Plenty of guys changing out IQ motors daily.
