Default Adjustments to spring rate?

This has a lock nut to adjust the compression on the rubberbush/spring??? In theory it looks like it will pull the spring down making it under tension?

This is the factory AllSports lift and I wonder if there is recommended torque setting and if there is any adjustment here or is it just the german spec of good-n-tite?

It seems to run a bunch stiffer up front than my friends onward with the same lift, I would think mine would ride softer since he has 14" rims and I have 12" and we have the same size tires giving me more sidewall and I have my tires air down to 15 to 20psi. Please advise

Default Re: Adjustments to spring rate?

It may lower or raise ride height but will do nothing to change spring tension. The spring isn't being pulled down, it is being pushed UP by the lower arm that the link is bolted to.

Remove the upper spring leaf and it will weaken the spring, and may give you the softer ride you want.
