Default 2000 Club Car DS - Make it faster?

I have a 48V 2000 Club Car DS. It's slow. How do I make it fast? I thought having 48V would make this a faster kart. What goodies do I need to make it more enjoyable on the street for speed?

Shocking isn't it When I got my first 48v CC DS I was excited to jump in and go for a ride. My expectations were high knowing what I did from my previous 36 to 48v conversions. So I jumped in, pulled my hat down tight, hit the gas and - what? wait! What?
Soon I learned all golf carts are designed to give about the same speed (12-14mph) and performance for course safety.
Thankfully there are speed modifications we can make for our after-course use.
These 1st 48v examples are Series carts. PQ offers high speed series motors. To run these motors you will need to increase the motor amperage supply. Specifically you need to upgrade the controller, solenoid, F&R, and cable set. Add the cost of a motor and you are knocking on the door of an IQ conversion which will include a motor and give more speed and power with less moving parts and a complete new wire harness. The IQ conv we offer nets 22-23 mph on stock tires and 25-28 mph on big tires.
