1991 Club Car Charger Conversion
I have a 1991 Club Car DS that is currently 36v. I just converted to solid state from resistors and threw on an Admiral motor that is 36/48v capable. I want to add my fourth 12v battery but have been sputtering over the price of a new charger. I saw someone on marketplace throw up a stock club car 48v charger, but I'm not sure what the third wire is for on these. I currently have the crowfoot 2 prong model. I can easily source a connector on amazon, but im not sure if the charger will run without the third wire being connected. I have attached a picture from the marketplace ad below. Any ideas?

Re: 1991 Club Car Charger Conversion
The third wire on those is for interlock control. It's not needed for the charger to function.
You can remove the charge cord from your old charger and put in on the 48v charger so you don't need any adapters and don't have to change the charge receptacle. |
