CLUB CAR GAS.....1989.....Transmission problems

Hi all:

I have a 1989 CLUB CAR GAS.......

It won't shift into reverse or forward.

I disconnected the transmission shift cable and it seemed to work for a while.....I took the access cover off and manually shifted it by hand when I wanted to go into reverse or forward.......

About 6 months later, (I haven't bought a new trans shift cable yet) when I manually used my hands to put it into forward or reverse, now, nothing happens....It almost locks up and sometimes, I have to drag it into my garage.

HELP!!!!

Whatever gear it will go in run it in that gear and go as fast as you can and slam it into the other gear. It wont actually engage in the other gear but it will make it pop out of whatever gear its stuck in and start working right. If that dosnt work you will need a tranny prob. Call Tom at CCP he the one that told me this little trick. It fixed my tranny just sounds crazy.
