Question Re: marathon questions ....

Welcome, sounds like some one put a bypass on it. Regular top speed is about 12MPH. Federal law for a Golf cart sold new from manufacture.
Be very carefull using the bypass if it sticks while you push the button through it into neutral with the F/R handle and get it stoped and pull the cables loose to keep it from burning up the cart.

There is a bunch of posts about this on here.

i did a search on a bypass , i found a lot of threads on them but they were mos tley about how to do it are it was not working correctly . my button only works as long as i hold it down , as soon as i let off the button it slows back down . if the bypass is bad , then how can i get a little more speed out of it . not looking for a drag car just a little more cruzing speed . my cart is used on the road ( i live in a rural town ) . one more thing ,,,,, wouldnt it be better to put led h/lamps and tail lights on these . leds draw so much less juice , i cant run very long if i turn on my lights .

one way is to have plum quic do the motor it cost 225.00 plus shipping but you,ll be real happy in the end.....when you hit that button your bypassing everything and taking motor to max and doing it like that isn,t good for the motor but its your cart right.......you can also change all 6 gage cables to 4 gage and you,ll get 2 or 3 maybe even 4 more mph but you need to change all cables not just battery cables..........good luck with however you do it and enjoy..........................
