Default rear end , forward and back play

I was wondering what the amount of play that is acceptable in the rear end (forward to back play) mine is about 1/4" to 1/2"

I just put all new bearings in my rear end and I have very little slack back and forth. Im not sure on the factory specs but sounds like you have too much, do you have any noise or clunk when you move?

I have the rear end out right now I just don't want to install it if I have to much play in the spider gears. If any one has the specs that would be great.

scotty just had a problem like yours. don't know how or if he fixed it. there is no adjustment except adding thicker washers that i guess would have to be custom made. maybe he will chime in, or you could pm him.

you ought to be all right as long as you don't slam it in f or r when moving.
