Battery AH calculations - experts needed
So, I was forced to buy some off road lights for my buggie today
If my off road lights are pulling 200 watts total, then I am pulling 16.67 amps, so.... let's round to 17 for the sake of simplicity. Deep cycle battery is 115AH, with a 205 minute reserve. Reserve power is how many minutes the battery can go at 25 amp draw before needing to be recharged, correct? So at worst, with a 25 amp draw, I should get at least 3.4 hours, at a 17 amp draw I should get somewhere around 5 hours. If my math and research is holding true here, I'm golden. If not, I;m sure someone will let me know shortly... |

Without getting into fomulas and a bunch of questions, your math is close enough for your purposes.
