Re: Anyone know where I can get a snowplow?
I found this one.
$790.00 Not that I should ever need one living here in SC. The ones of you who do use them. What kind of motor are you using. Electric Gas I'm interested in knowing hat kind of load it puts on the system if electric when plowing? http://www.powerequipmentsolutions.c...plow-kits.html |

Re: Anyone know where I can get a snowplow?
I too am curious as to whether a golf cart is a suitable vehicle to plow snow. I would have thought that one wheel drive will just slip and slide as soon as the plow meets the resistance of a decent amount of snow, but I am prepared to be proved wrong.

Here's a stock electric doing a pretty good job. If we ever get any snow I will post a video.

R8cer Ex,
thanks for the link. That cart didn't have any trouble with the snow! Man I'm impressed. I wonder what is under the seat of that cart? |

Re: Anyone know where I can get a snowplow?
Just found a craftsman that was never used but it would take me a lot of work and time to make it work.
So are these carts powerful enough to push the snow? |

Re: Anyone know where I can get a snowplow?
I dunno guys. I live in SW Pa., and we have been getting a lot of snow these past 5 winters. This fall I just bot a new Husquvarna two stage electric start snow thrower, and I put 4 new heavy lug mudder tires along with new steel wheels on my Silverado.
So....now you know it's just not gonna snow this winter!! I looked at the link where they show the electric cart pushing the snow.....but .....errrr......that's not "real snow". I mean....what that is...is the light fluffy stuff that you could sweep away with a broom. It's not the heavy....wet SNOW that will bring down trees, powerlines, and back porch awnings. And you can believe that if that little electric cart went up against 5" or better of real snow....without chains on the rear tires to push, and chains on the front tires to steer....it's never going to do anything against real snow. My EZ-GO with a limited slip and 48-V power, set for mostly torque will not make it up our Pa., hills in the woods without chains when we get better than 3" of heavy snow. Nor will my EZ-GO turn without the front chains on. IMHO, if your gonna spend $1,000 for snow removal equipment....instead of beating the crap out of your buggy....buy a 2 stage snow thrower. You'll be done in no time and you won't be sending away for parts to fix your cart. MHO Dave |
