When you pull on the axle look at the c-clip that is holding it in. It doesn't move right? If not then you should be good to go.

Where do you live in the upstate of SC. I'm in Libert SC 12 miles from Clemson. If you ever need anything.

man GREAT info Andy, thanks. I must say I did everything just as that post says...EXCEPT taking the cable loose. I am very glad to hear the in and out play in the left axle is normal as well, I sure didn't want to get into the diff right now.

I hope anyone doing rear brakes for the first time finds this thread first, very helpful ! Thanks again!

I did look at the clip making sure everything wasn't moving and it all looked good, just the shaft moving.

We are pretty close, I am in Greer ! Maybe my next project...a PQ motor will be a good time to meet and get our hands dirty ! I had to buy a controller for the cart after the "just needs new batteries" when I bought it didn't fix it lol. I went ahead and got a 400amp and put on it even though it does me no good right now....I figured the motor would "blow" sooner or later

Cool Re: 92 Marathon rear brakes

I guess Robby had the settings changed. The site has been getting a lot of unwanted post of late about all kinds of stuff. Sorry.

As ar as the motor blowing it will more than likely keep on truckin. These things just keep going. My first cart was a 89 marothone and the stock motor is still running today in the 3 cart I installed in. I use it for a test motor.LMK if I can help.

Understand completely! Robby @ PQ had one of mine for a long time as a door stopper after I blew it up. It had a hole the size of your thumb on the casing! Literaly blew out the windings! That's another hard lesson learned.

well, back together and the brakes will lock-up...I must have done something right. Putting a fresh charge on her and will be good to-go !

Thanks for all the help and input from all of you ! I sure would not have the "good" golf cart experience the past two years without this site !

Now...onto the motorcycle winter projects....
