As long as the lugs in pic 3 are flush with the housing and sunken below the surface by any amount you can put a HD cam in it and go with that.

Typically in a cart that old I like to replace the whole switch. Then all the contacts, switches, and housing are new.

the prints that is
since it shows the colors of the wires, maybe you could trace them. you showed a picture of a microswitch and they are labeled ms2, ms4 etc.

now i think i understand. it sounds like they bypassed the reed switch in the charge inlet. just ran it directly to the ms from the battery. many have done this and it works fine. the fuse is just there for protection.
in the pic, the thicker wire on the left ms goes directly to the battery.

With that diagram can I assume that A is the bottom lug on the f/r switch? and then so forth.

This might help.

The drawing is upside down, but all the wires are labeled.

thanks. I thought so. I tend to overthink it. The dotted lines going to the ms in the diagram posted made me think that was the ms positions. Printed your pic, cut it half and flipped it.

The Wiring diagram I posted was from the service manual posted in the Stickies, as was the Schematic diagram posted by madoc1.
I've seen better drawings and I've seen worse, so I'll just say that I suspect the proofreaders took some long coffee breaks.

On the Schematic, the dotted lines between the F/R switch and MS-2 & MS-4 indicate a mechanical connection. In other words, the micro-switches are opened/closed when the F/R cam is moved.
There is also a dotted line between the coil and main contacts of the solenoid, indicating the mechanical connection between the two.

On the Wiring diagram, MS-2 & MS-4 having a dotted outline indicate they are mounted on the backside of the plate in the foreground.

I haven't noticed any bright flashes or mushroom clouds to the SE of me, so I guess you got it wired in right.

haven't tried it yet. I did go and open every link in the stickies and found both diagrams posted. Actually both post where in the same link that I saved.
