Default Fill/Check Trans Plug

Hey all,
So I sorted my electrical issues and I'd like to do some general maintenance to my cart.
Its a 1990 EZ-GO Electric, 36v

There seems to be only one plug on the trans, the manual says its a Fill/Check plug. Just wanted to confirm there's only one plug and that this thing only holds a very small amount of oil -- presumably it dips into the reservoir and flings it everywhere.

Also, 30wt or 80w-90 for this one?
I'm leaning towards a 75w-90 synthetic, it won't be run in freezing weather anyhow.

Here's a thread, post 17 starts with the pics and shows you how, the manual calls for 30# non detergent, but some run 75w-90 synthetic it wont hurt it

Here's another way to do it. A friend who used to have a cart said this is the way he did it. Jack the left side of the cart up and drain the oil. Fill a bottle with ten ounces of oil. Lower the left side and jack up the right side. Using a plastic tube or long flexible neck funnel, pour the new oil in the pan and install the plug. He said it takes about ten minutes. Sounds right to me. Unless I find some serious shavings in the drained oil, I can't see any reason to drop the pan.
