Precedent 12" wheel help
Okay new guy here...just bought an 06 precedent. I ordered rims w/I doing research. I don't want to lift it if possible to avoid. The wheels I bought are 12x6 typhoon machined and black wheels (2.5+3.5)
205/30-12.....will these work on stock height? Or will I have to lift? Thanks for any help. |

Welcome Windowguy to BGW.
I would say you will need a lift thats alot of wheel to stick under your stock cart (but I could be wrong). |

Re: Precedent 12" wheel help
I think you should be fine. See my sig for my wheels. They are minus 40mm offset from center toward the inside. Your wheels have a 25mm offset, if my math is correct. The total diameter of your wheel should be slightly over 18". You can measure that easily.
The problem you run into is a hard right turn. The more negative the offset, the worse the problem. The outer edge of the tire rubs the wire tunnel which protrudes into the right front wheel well firewall. I hit that on my cart. The fix is very quick. Simply cut off the offending hump with a Drexel. There is a secondary tunnel inside the external one to protect the wire bundle. Now, provided your springs are in good shape you should be okay. My wheels are the widest I could find and are absolutely the biggest I could use without a lift. |
