BUT. If someone 1/2 a$$ed a conversion and kept the 36v motor put a 48v controller in and 8v batts. leaving the 36v charge plug and just swapping it on the charger........ Possibility is it not?

yea .. anything is possible .. also someone could of taken a 48v cart frame and installed the 36v stuff leaving the obc in

another thought ... he is mistaken on the obc , possible its the controller
