A bit more is fine.... 12.75 - 13.75 is normal and some higher readings if not constant, can be tolerated.
Go put your meter on your car battery while it running and you'll see what I mean...

My friend got a no name Chinese one and it shows 13.7V open circuit. We've never checked it under load (lights and radio). When I get back over to his place I'll try to remember to get a voltage reading for you!

13.7 is fine. A 12V Lead Acid battery is going to be around 13.5. (More like 14.5 when charging)

Volt is 100% correct. A typical 12v system shows 12v when dead much like our packs. A new alternator in your vehicle charges about 14.4v and after use about 13.5. Your electronics in your vehicle receive 100% of this said voltage. There is nothing wrong with seeing 14v as a standard on a 12v system. Anything below 12v under a load should be considered BAD!

12v is safe. Anything lower is BAD. As well as 14v is safe anything higher is BAD.
