Battery addative
Hey guys no problem to resolve just wanted to share some experience i had with adding an addative i purchesed from ebay to my 8V cart batteries.
So quick back ground i purchesed a 2010 CC precednent and it had labled 11 batteries, they were shocking they wouldnt do 18 holes with one person in the cart without dying. So i was going to buy new batteries, but before i did i saw an addative you can get from ebay for $10 that you put in the batteries and it is a money back thing it will repair the batteries back to a point. I thought what the hell there shot ducks anyways might as well try. After following the instructions i put the batteries back in and went for a game, they lasted 18 holes but only just, once again charged them up and then compared the specific gravity to before i started and it had improved a fair bit. Went and played again and still strong after 18 so went for a bit more of a drive and 27 holes latter they started to die (I prob went a little be to far into the discharge state but wanted to see what they had). I let the cart sit for an hour once finished and checked the voltage it was 47.5 so the batteries were at about 40% (once again to far i know) The addative worked well i am no longer going to replace my batteries i will see how good they go and once they die again i will try the addative again and see if they restore again. This is only how it went for me i dont recommend trying this if you batteries are not at a point where you are going to replace them, i used this as a last resort and just wanted you guys to know that someone of them do work sometimes. |

Re: Battery addative
Let us know your results over the next several months as well. I agree there is no silver bullet to fix old batteries, but if you can get a few more months out of them for $10 sounds like it would be worth it.
What was the name or link to the additive that you used? Thanks! |

Re: Battery addative
Did 18 Holes today with the extra weight of 130KG fellow golfer and his golf bag was still pulling stong after the 18 holes and had a 47.6V reading but that was without letting it rest so i think it may have been better again so getting better with every drive.
