Speed soloinoid heating up
I have a columbia golf cart. Not sure what year but the 1985-1987 wiring diagram seems to accurate. I replaced the forward soloinoid and all seems to work great except the C2 speed soloinoid coils heats up to the point that you can't touch it and it smells like electrical. I never checked it prior to the repair. This does not seem normal since the C1 speed soloinoid is barely warm. I checked for continuity and all checked out. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Speed soloinoid heating up
had same problem with old (prior 1970) Pargo electric with seven selinoids. Check your resister coils. mine has different sizes to use. bought right ones and it works fine now
