2010 Precedent - low on torque.
This cart has trouble climbing the ramps into the back of our pickup. Our other Precedents all drive up with out problems. The top speed is the same but it just seems to be low on torque. I have changed the controller, mcor, solenoid, motor and discharge tested the batteries. Cables all look good and are clean.
Any ideas? |

Did you also tested/checked the smaller gauge cables for F1 and F2? You need a strong field current to develop torque.

Have you figured out the problem with the low torque?

Re: 2010 Precedent - low on torque.
No, but I'm going to start looking into today. I have a 2010 Prec Excel with a PlumQuik Bandit and I just put on a Curtis 500a controller, I also changed all my cable to 2awg. The torque is not what I expected, its not much of an improvement over the stock controller. I have a 400a solenoid coming, maybe that will help. Did you change the size of the F1 and F2 wires?

I haven't changed those 2 wires.
Batteries are testing 93% with a discharge test of 66 minutes. We have another CC cart in for repair (not related to this problem) so I tried it out with the same results. Maybe just a CC problem in those years? |

you need the solenoid also if your using stock, it makes the difference, you can't upgrade part and expect big differences.
